The Harris Family

Recently I got to photograph my roommate Sara's family. I was a little nervous because outside of the studio I worked at, this is the most kids I've photographed all at once, but luckily they were amazing and took fantastic pictures for me. I especially love this last one, because it is so funny. When I think of little kids, I think of this.

Thanksgiving Road Trip

For Thanksgiving I decided to go on a solo road trip. I originally wanted to go camping, but then I went outside and it was much colder at night than I would like to sleep in. So i just went out for a long drive through Spring City and Ephraim, Utah and here are a few images from the adventure.

New Project: Grandmother's Negatives

I asked my grandpa on my mom's side to send me some negatives. He found some old slides, but it was my 90 year old grandma who hit the jackpot. She sent me about 30 negatives and I scanned in all the people today to see who in my family could recognize the faces so I knew which ones to print. I'm printing off the ones who we know who they are and then archiving the prints for the family for Christmas. This is my uncle Noall and we think his wife Jewell. Just one of the many that will be up here once I get into the darkroom after Thanksgiving break.

Girl from Santaquin

I was driving through Santaquin a few weekends ago with roommate Lindsey. I saw this girl and her uncle and decided I needed to photograph them. So I did. This last photograph I used for my digital photography class for an assignment where we needed to make a digital photograph look like a silver gelatin print.

Afternoon Walk, Provo

Apparently I was on one while I was out walking around taking pictures today. I did find the best tamale place in Provo, though. I should have photographed this to make this post not so unexpectedly morbid.

Two of My Current Favorite People: Danny and Bones.

If you haven't seen me in a long time, it is probably because of these two people. And yes, the dog counts as a person. Louisiana Danny is a train hopper that came into town about two weeks ago and found Juice n Java, as most people tend to do. He's been hanging out with us while we work and then we've all been together when we aren't working as well. Almost a week ago he agreed to sit for me to photograph for my large format class and here are a few of the digital photographs I took. We grabbed his mandolin and went to a train yard because that is his home. Bones loved it too, everytime a train went by she got really excited because she thought she was going to go for a ride. They leave to go back to Louisiana tomorrow, so I thought I'd post this tonight as a goodbye tribute and soon I'll get my 4x5 print up here.

My Perfect World

My most recent assignment was to composite an image of my perfect world. I used 7 images to create this one, modeling it after one of my favorite composite photographers, Al Magnus. My idea would to be in a world in which I could just tare off backdrops and be in different places as I please. Apparently I have been extremely anxious lately to get out.

Rockabilly Wedding (Silvana and her dress)

When I found out my co-worker, Silvana, was about to get married, I insisted that I photograph her. It took some coaxing to convince her that she wanted bridals, but she's this cute rockabilly girl and is just too cute to pass up. I love her style and adore her. So here you are: Silvana.

Happy [Late] Halloween!

I meant to post this yesterday, because I love Halloween, but I got too excited about the holiday and failed to.
